I'm a 30-something Latina in California into bad horror, grindhouse and exploitation films from the 70's and 80's. I have a very boring life, but a highly active and sordid fantasy life. All of this? Is fantasy. If you're easily offended, I suggest you leave, now. I take commission requests, but am very picky about what I'll write or draw, so be warned.

Interests
I have to say,  I'm starting to get tired of the people who think they are entitled to start listing off all of the things they want to see drawn as if I'm their art monkey here to amuse them.

I draw what I want to draw because it's my hobby. If you want me to draw something, you can pay me to do it, or you can ask a helluva lot more nicely than people have been.

Why don't I draw full bodies with legs and feet? Because my favorite part of the body is the face, and when you draw full body you lose almost all definition in the face, and facial features become little more than dots and lines.

Why don't I draw skinny girls? Because I prefer realistic ones. If you can count the ribs or notches in the sternum, it's unhealthy. That said, I still do draw slender girls, but even they have a slight curve from the lower belly to the groin as all humans do. Don't like the way I shade that? Fair enough. I respect your opinion.

What I don't get is why some people feel the need to give me their laundry lists of what they want my art to be or what they want to see me do in my project while sitting on the sidelines with nothing invested. I do this on my free time and for my own personal enjoyment. I share it with others because I think that others might be interested. I can easily stop sharing if it gets to be more hassle than fun.

And before anybody gets butthurt, I'll point out that I often ask for opinions and feedback, so don't tell me that I'm being oversensitive or can't take critique.

Sorry to finally lose my cool, but it's really starting to get irritating.

Park Bloodwood

Park Bloodwood is an homage to the horror, grindhouse and exploitation movies of the 70's and 80's, brushed up for modern times.

What does that mean?

It means that scantily clad young women will be put in deadly situations (often, but not always!) resulting in violence and gratuitous gore, all revolving around a highly unlikely premise and paper thin plot designed to do little more than put the characters in over-the-top peril. It's meant to be bad in a good way, cheesy and campy, with little in the way of substance or socially redeeming content. It's dumb, gory fun, with maybe a touch of sarcastic wit.

Shakespeare and Dickens, this is not.

I'm not sure how far the sexual aspect will feature - at present I have no nudity or sex scenes planned - but I've made the characters 18 and over in case it goes there. Nudity and sex have been a staple of the genres this is influenced by, so it may well turn up, but I'm not setting out to make straight-up wank material. If you're looking for hardcore guro porn, you might be disappointed.

If, however, you like a campy, sexy, bloody good time with tongue planted firmly in cheek, sit back and enjoy. Let the good times - and body parts - roll!

Opening August 2011!

Apparently Jessika Ryan left DA because she had a problem with some kind of stalker.
She is kind of active over at Pulptoon, but she said that she is not going to come back here.

Just because there are things I don't remember,
Doesn't mean that my actions are meaningless
The world doesn't just disappear when you close your eyes, does it?
